Welcome
The Religion and Society Center
fosters the exploration and development of religiously-based social
teachings for today's multi-cultural and multi-faith society.
In order to explore social values,
religious practice and the nature of religious authority in the context
of interfaith dialogue, the Center hosts several ongoing projects.

The Interfaith Coalition On The Environment (ICE) will unveil its carbon footprint presentation for churches, synagogues, temples and other places of worship. The presentation focuses on the impact of carbon dioxide on the environment, the moral and ethical implications of that impact, and some very practical ways for individuals and congregations to help.
The underlying hope of the Interfaith Coalition on the Environment is that, since the challenges facing the environment call for significant lifestyle changes, perhaps religious communities can help us move toward those necessary lifestyle changes.
